No one ever blogs the dud stuff

Well I am here today today to do just that.

The grand plan was to turn some of our organic home grown rocket and basil into some amazing pesto to give away to family and friends and have them all in a taste sensation telling us how wonderful our pesto was.

We failed...

It tastes like crap and we are blaming our variety of rocket for this failure.

So I had planned a lovely blog post of how we turned this

into this

It looks pretty though, shame about the taste.

Snr Hillbilly asked if we had any enemies to load it off to. So if you get a jar of pesto from us this week. Big smoochies to you from us.

Come on peoples dont leave me hanging here all by myself on disaster lane come join me. Make me feel a bit better and blog your recent disaster.

This http://theprincessandthemonkey.blogspot.com/2008/08/art-bag.html was going to be a dress but I decided to do a contrasting top stitch in white. It looked like c@%p. So now it's a bag! I still haven't made the dress. Your pesto looks good though! Did you try adding some roasted pine nuts and garlic?

Yeah but your bag looks great and can still be used. This pesto is truly foul. Yep did all the garlic, toasted pine nuts exxy olive oil lovely pecorino and still crap.

Well, you could let the kids paint with it, or add it playdough for a texture AND smell sensation?!!

I plan to make a no-sew-tutu this week. I promise to blog it as no doubt I will cock it up!

I solemnly promise to blog my next abject failure!
How many jars did you end up with?!

There would have been about 5 as we made a double batch but only bottled one to keep tasting in case it miraculously tastes better in a few days time.
