That is fake quilt for the unitiated. Couldn't go giving it a name like a quilt when I truly am not a quilters butt hole.
Anyway it is neeeeeeeeearly done. The front is finished I have 'quilted' the wadding to the front and I would be finished but the piece I bought for the backing is not big enough so off to buy more fabric.
Anyway not bad for a novice if I do say so myself.
Also a pic of Baby Hillbilly thinking that her dad's smelly work socks are the latest fashion must have. With her cheesy cheeky fake smile for the camera.

Ummm, you do know that usually the quilting is done through all 3 layers, backing included??? How did you go moving the wadding through the machine - did it catch a lot?
But anyway, it looks great! I hope you're proud of your work!
SEe that is why it is a fakuilt and not a quilt. See I can't do that hand sewing stuff...so I sort of make my own rules as I go along...
p.s didn't catch once...maybe I got lucky.
I quilt by machine - just with the backing on as well. The only bits I do by hand are sewing the binding down at the back, and attaching the label. (Look at Ruby's)
